Laurissa Mary Rex
Laurissa Mary Rex, MBA
With a background as a retired US Army Officer and Special Operations enlisted Soldier, she leverages her leadership skills to manage various paranormal projects. Laurissa’s quest for knowledge in this field led me to a uniquely haunted site that inspired a TV series she created and currently produce. This series features horror icon Santiago Cirilo (The Walking Dead) and paranormal legend David Childers (Travel Channel), along with other esteemed researchers, authors, and special guests, all set at the notorious filming location of Hell House, LLC. This site also motivated me to author a book detailing the exceptionally unique paranormal activity there. Titled “The Waldorf Effect: A Paranormal Research Theory,” this book serves as the centerpiece of my current lecture tours, captivating a large audience eager for interaction and insights into this emerging and fascinating theory.
Laurissa delivers talks at libraries, expos, and conventions. For libraries, she covers any of the topics listed below. At expos and conventions, Laurissa presents an engaging lecture that includes evidence from Hell House (The Waldorf Estate of Fear) related to her book, The Waldorf Effect: A Paranormal Research Theory. The upcoming TV series, 24 Hours in Hell, draws inspiration from the paranormal events occurring at this location. The Waldorf Effect is a theory that has emerged from years of research and the experiences on the show’s set. This phenomenon has also inspired a book with the same title. Both the book and the series are set to be released in 2025. The book is authored by Laurissa, who also co-created the show.
